Responsibilities:
- Work creatively with HTML, XHTML, CSS and JavaScript to develop high-impact page designs
- User Experience expertise, building responsive websites or CMS templates for use.
- Design or modify email marketing templates for various screen resolutions and devices
- Work closely within an agency environment, collaborating with Design, Public Relations, and Analytics on projects, both in Canada and globally
- Collaborate closely with internal clients and business units on projects, delivering digital solutions across email, web and social media
- Work closely with digital production on executing digital builds, troubleshooting code and ensuring deliverables are met
- Ensure compliance with accessibility (AODA, WCAG), and Canadian language requirements (English/French) across web and mobile
- Ensure the use of online best practices in email marketing, enhanced user experience, search engine optimization, and lead generation
- Work with external vendors in troubleshooting any limitations with platform integrations, template/CMS restrictions
- Apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills to Client problems
- Conduct or manage cross-browser/device testing to ensure landing pages are functional
- Collaborate with other digital marketing team members (analytics, editorial, social media, mobile), and other relevant stakeholders
Qualifications and Experience:
The successful candidate will meet the following criteria:
- 4-5 years experience as a web developer/designer, registration management with an interest in online marketing, social media and mobile
- Strong coding experience, both front-end and back-end, integration with external systems and databases, HTML and XHTML, JavaScript and CSS
- Experience with Adobe Experience Manager or another enterprise CMS), Email marketing tools (Eloqua, Marketo, Pardot, Boostrap) or event registration tools (Cvent, Attendease, Certain, Splash) or Adobe products (Analytics, Audience Manager, Target) or Social Media tools (Sprinklr, Sysomos)
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree or undergraduate studies in programming, or equivalent experience, working within an agency environment an asset
- Solid understanding of UX design, working with brand guidelines, and layout and design standards
- Superior problem-solving skills to resolve coding and technical issues within a content management environment
- Ability to effectively manage expectations, and prioritize time-sensitive and often urgent issues in a demanding and challenging environment
- Ability to manage the details of several projects simultaneously within a team
- Commitment to ongoing professional development, learning and growth
- Ability to work independently with strong organization and attention to detail
- Excellent time management ability and effective collaboration with stakeholders across different regions/time zones
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel and PowerPoint, and familiarity with integrating various technologies to support marketing efforts
